Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson will be returning to Game of Thrones to reprise his role as The Mountain That Rides.
Hafþór told Vísir that there will be more of him in the new season, which is set to begin in April. Beyond that, there was not much he could disclose about his role.
“These are some exciting episodes coming out now,” he told reporters. “It was a fun project, and fun to perform in it.”
Hafþór has plenty of irons in the fire, and acting is not his only pursuit. Last year, he broke a 1000-year-old weight lifting record, carrying a log 10 metres long and weighing 650kg for five steps.
