Sin Fang, aka former Seabear frontman Sindri Már Sigfússon, dropped a new track called “Candyland” today. It’s the first glimpse of his new album, “Spaceland,” and features some trills of vocals from Sigur Rós frontman and much-admired solo artist Jónsi.
It’s a languid electronic pop track with a dreamy electronic sound, marking Sing Fang’s further departure from his indie roots. The video shows Sindri turning into weird psychedelic spaghetti. And then maybe exploding into some kind of… milkshake substance? And then multiplying into a row of blanketed, singing sphinxes. Cool!
“Candyland” is released on September 16th via Morr Music. In the meantime, you can follow Sin Fang on Facebook and Twitter.
