Your Weekly Eurovision Report

Well hello there!
Saturday night brought us the second (of three) qualifying rounds in the selection process for ESC2012. As you vividly remember the last semi-final resulted in the advancement of a Jóhanna Guðrún look-a-like with a violin and some Scooter-like-boys with an annoying rap.
This semi-final was, to put it mildly, a lot less fun.
The five songs were all dead boring. The looooooooong interview with Eyjólfur Kristjánsson was boring. It was all boring.
Predictably the Icelandic nation voted Regína Ósk onwards with the boring song, Hjartað brennur (The Heart Burns):

As you can see, it is not much of a song.
It is though a thousand times better than the second one voted onwards, Hey (Hey (or Grass – it’s a clever ambiguous title)) performed by Simbi og Hrútspungarnir (Simbi and the Rams testicles).

It is just too awful to comment on.
Until next time!
