Bob Justman

Icelandic singer/songwriter Bob Justman started playing acoustic gigs around Reykjavik in late 2004. His first release that same year was ‘Christmas Day’ a song donated to the charity compilation record ‘Ísland Palestína.’ Receiving positive reactions, shortly thereafter he secured an album deal with Smekkleysa/Bad Taste Ltd, Justman continued writing material and began assembling a band for the cursed and fabled recordings that were to become his debut album ‘Happiness & woe.’
After finally releasing the record in 2008 to critical acclaim, without any live performances or touring, Justman disappeared, retreating to the oblivion of writing and recording in his new studio.
This year’s Airwaves show will mark Justman’s first public performance in five years, accompanied by a full band, comprising a set of all new material from his forthcoming second album ‘World on fire’ due for release in 2014.
