Jónsi Remixes Sin Fang’s Young Boys

We’ve something a little bit special for you today. Sigur Rós frontman and Icelandic music icon Jónsi has remixed Sin Fang’s Young Boys – the first ever Sin Fang remix to be released, no less. It comes out via Morr Music today on a new EP that also features the original version of that track, and Sindri’s own remix of “Look At The Light”.

The Jónsi reworking is a pretty, ambient version of the track, with atmospheric electronic trills, and a thumping bass rhythm rising through the haze of reverb.

Explaining on The Line Of Best Fit yesterday, Sindri had to say: “He made it while we were on a family holiday in Spain. He was a bit involved in the making of Flowers as it was recorded in his house. He saw the development of the songs when we were making them and had some good points as we were working so it was great to get him to do a remix and do his own take.”

Ahead of his Airwaves shows, Sin Fang is currently touring Europe as the special guest of his labelmates Múm, opening their shows with a solo set. For our overseas readers, here are the dates:
