The Stormtrooper helmet thought to be stolen earlier this weekend has been returned.

As reported, a rare fibreglass Stormtrooper helmet was taken from a boy’s bedroom and switched out with a cheaper imitation but as luck would have it the item – along with other Star Wars memorabilia – has been returned.

“The helmet (and some other Star Wars Stuff which we had not noticed missing) has been returned,” wrote the boy’s mother, Pauline McCarthy, on Facebook. “I don’t want to go into details but the person involved is young and did it as a joke that backfired. Thanks everyone for spreading the word. He saw the post and confessed to his parents. So all is well.”
