Morgunblaðið reports that Icelandic authorities have not yet received
any reaction from British and Dutch authorities to changes the
Icelandic parliament made to the Icesave deal last August.
Einar Karl Haraldsson, the public relations agent for the Prime Minister, told reporters, “I have no confirmation here that any reaction [to the new deal] has been sent.”
Parliament approved the ammended deal on 28 August, and sent their conditions to British and Dutch authorities. Both nations have called for further explanation of the new conditions, and Icelandic authorities provided additional information in greater detail.
The Ministry of Finance told reporters that they have received word that a formal response is expected soon.
