Some clunky old Canadian F-18, one of 6 currently patrolling Iceland’s airspace as part of NATO’s Operation IGNITION, was reporting malfunctions while in the air earlier today, RÚV reports.
The Coast Guard’s helicopter and team was put on alert of a potential problem, and an emergency plan was activated at Keflavík Airport, however the jet ended up landing safely and everything returned to business as usual.
If only Canada had some flashy F-35’s, this would have never happened.
