The Icelandic Perspective is a new show by The Reykjavík Grapevine where celebrated journalists and long-time friends Valur Grettisson and Bjartmar Alexandersson go over global issues and offer the Icelandic point of view on them.
The US and Russian foreign ministers met in Iceland earlier this week at the 12th Ministerial meeting of the Arctic Council at Harpa Concert Hall. There, they discussed the Arctic as well as the upcoming meeting between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin.
In this episode, Valur Grettisson and Bjartmar Alexandersson met up with Valur Gunnarsson, who recently published a book on the history of communications between Russia and the Ukraine, to speak about the issue. They also discussed the relationship between Iceland and Russia, which apparently hasn’t been this bad since the Cold War. This and more of course in The Icelandic Perspective.
