It’s been a busy week for six-piece Icelandic pop ensamble Rökkurró who still have one more show to go this Airwaves, which happens tonight at Gaukurinn at midnight, where they promise to close the festival in style.

Rökkurró just released their third album, ‘INNRA,’ through 12 Tónar last week. Band member Árni describes the new material as introducing a  new electronic element to Rökkurró, with soft synths mixed with gently textured and layered percussion. “The result is a warm enveloping backdrop to singer Hildur’s at times subtly sultry vocals,” he says.
