Both perpetrators of last Wednesday’s bank robbery have been arrested, and will remain in police custody until January 14.
Vísir reports that two suspects who are believed responsible for last Wednesday’s bank robbery are now in custody. One of the suspects reportedly turned himself in and confessed to the crime after seeing security camera footage of himself on the news.
The money stolen from the bank has also been recovered, with some of it discovered in the wooded area of Öskuhlíð, where Perlan is located. As reported, the robbers were seen fleeing to this location while being pursued by the police. Landsbanki has not disclosed how much money was stolen.
Both suspects will remain in police custody until at least January 14.
