dj. Flugvél og geimskip – Off-venue Slippbarinn @12:00
I will get some coffee and see Steinunn Hardardottir aka DJ F og G cook up some deep sea outer space nuggets.
Skelkur í bringu – Off-venue Bíó Paradís @13:00
Featuring Steinunn Dj F&G this is a falling down the stairs new wave delicacy. It’s been long since they did anything, so I’m itchy in my brain to see them.
Högni Egilsson – Off-venue Alda Hotel @14:00
The Hjaltalín main man is doing some solo stuff which I am eager to see.
Bárujárn – Off-venue Hlemmur square @15:00
These metal surf-rockers don’t play that often, so I will go see them.
Mafama – Off-venue Lucky Records @16:00
Psychedelic hip rock from Akureyri. Lucky Records is basically besides Hlemmur square.
Just Another Snake Cult – Off-venue Bar 11 @17:00
One of my favourite current Icelandic bands. The brain behind the cult is Þórir Bogason, and the music is super well composed acid psych pop.
Emmsjé Gauti – Off-venue Loft Hostel @18:00
Rapper Gauti is one of Iceland’s best rappers. He is also the presenter of next year’s Iceland Got Talent (sorry to bring this up, Gauti!). I am one of the four judges so I’ll go give him a hug.
Auður – Tjarnarbarinn @19:00
Musician Auður has been getting a lot of buzz from the underground lately. I guess he is similar to The Weeknd, only Icelandic and therefore automatically better!
Vaginaboys – Nasa @20:00
The buzz is also huge for slick ear-lickers Vaginaboys. And Nasa has opened again! How cool is that?
Hjaltalín – Harpa Silfurberg @21:00
One of Iceland’s best-loved acts, probably playing lots of new music. I’m there pronto.
Perfume Genius (US) – Harpa Silfurberg @22:10
This dude is laid back and nice so I’ll try a standing powernap under his silky stylings.
Grísalappalísa – Harpa Silfurberg @23:30
Fuck the powernap – I’m back in the zone with some kick-in-the-balls rawk from these brainy gluesniffers.
Ariel Pink – Harpa Silfurberg @01:00
If I only had to pick ONE artist from the whole of this years Airwaves, this Californian dude would be it. I absolute love his last three albums so I’ll probably have to put on a diaper to get undamaged from his gig.

Dr. Gunni plays vomitcore music with a legendary bassist called Grímur, and he’s playing at Airwaves as well!
