Due to another snow storm, roads in Reykjavík are either closed or very dangerous to drive on, reports the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration.

All roads leading in and out of the capital city have been closed. Residents and visitors of Reykjavík have been advised to stay home unless there is an emergency and in those cases people should only set out in appropriate and well equipped vehicles.

RÚV reports that two planes have already been directed away from Keflavík airport due to dangerous weather conditions.

Consider spending the day catching up on some light reading and eating a hole into your holiday chocolate reserves.
