2013 has been a great year, but it’s not quite time to say goodbye yet. There is one last weekend to go, and it is absolutely crammed with exciting events.
FRIDAY
Möller Records Birthday Gig
Möller Records is the one-stop-shop for electronic fans, and they are putting on a special event celebrating their 23rd publication and 3rd Helga compilation album. The show starts at nine at Harlem, with eleven performing acts including an ambient Futurgrapher set, Skurken, Tanya & Marlon, Subminimal and a Orang Volante DJ set.

Reykjavíkurdætur and co.
Reykjavíkurdætur (“The Daughters Of Reykjavík”) are a 13-piece women’s rap group whose songs are all about female empowerment in a patriarchal society. Their sleek feminist tunes should keep everyone entertained, whether they understand the lyrics or not. DJ Sunna Ben warms up the party at Gamli Gaukurinn which starts at 21:30, and both Beta Rokk and Ragna aka. Cell7 accompany the daughters.

SATURDAY
Fokk 2013
If you feel like giving the past year the finger and want to blow off steam, then this is the show to go to. With the energetic Muck, Skelkur í bringu, Grísalappalísa and Kælan Mikla appearing, you have no real reason not to pop in to Gamli Gaukurinn.

Morð / Godchilla / Ultraorthodox
For the fans of all things dark who want to thrash through Saturday, Dillon has the perfect line-up. Black metal band Morð is joined with rockers Godchilla and electro-noise Ultraorthodox.

Skinnsemi Burlesque Adult Cabaret
For those looking for more of a show this weekend, our circus friends from Skinnsemi are putting on a holiday special at Iðnó. Don’t bring your kids along though, as the show has a very adult theme. If it is anything like this summer’s venture then you should expect to be laughing, blushing and wowing through the whole event. There are two shows, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday, but you’ll need to get your tickets ahead at Iðnó.

Sæmundur’s new exhibit investigates the spatial and sculptural qualities of recording and presentation, and displays works made with custom built rigs. Sæmundur hails from the London and Amsterdam ‘hard-core’ non-hierarchal non-authoritarian scene that promotes critical thinking surrounding philosophical- and socio-political matters. Inform is shown Monday to Saturday, 15:00 to 18:00 at Kunstschlager, with a special opening party on Saturday at 20:00.

SUNDAY
Black Sunday Holiday Special: Gremlins
The cult classic Gremlins makes its way to the big screen again at Bíó Paradís 29 years after the film was originally screened. The comedy horror film follows Billy, a child that gets a new pet with three simple rules that inevitably get broken. The show starts at 20, but we recommend you book tickets at midi.is.

Stína Ágústs Jazz Night
Quartet singer Stína Ágústs is performing old-school Jazz at Kex Hostel with three of her friends. The gig starts at 20:30, and Stína promises to keep it fresh by appearing in outrageous attire and sprinkle in a few jokes.
