Viking boat key chains are frightening. Troll t-shirts are spooky. But GK Reykjavík offers young professionals the power souvenir: business and casual wear that will intimidate the competition.
If you have the money, you can get an essential part of your wardrobe, one unique to Scandinavia, and one that will not date itself. The store sells it’s own design, GK, plus an assortment of Scandinavian designers. Most brands on sale here are not universally recognizable, but this is because the suits are so classic that one doesn’t have to flip up a label to defend oneself.
This is a store that caters to the young, (20s and 30s… possible older assuming a significant amount of plastic surgery has been done), but to the young interested in investing in clothes. From casual to business wear, GK sticks to the impeccable. Clean lines are the rule.
A couple sticking points: you probably need a decent build if you want to look good in the clothing here. In addition, the sales staff at GK are no nonsense. While they are helpful, this is not the store where people are typically buying their first suit.
