One of the things we definitely don’t like is being stuck in the murky surroundings of Reykjavík the whole winter throughout. Fortunately, Northern Wave – the awesome cult film festival in Snæfellsnes – has come to the rescue! The festival, which takes place between February 27 and March 1, is described as a “New Wave” event, whereas is portrays the film as a form of art and the director as an artist so don’t expect any blockbusters!
Snæfellsnes is surely home to some of Iceland’s most enigmatic and picturesque landscapes, so why not hop on a bus, check out some really cool shorts and music videos at the Northern Wave, get drunk with the inhabitants and witness some of the most spectacular panoramas up for grabs? We know we will.
