Samúel Jón Samúelsson Big Band is a 14-piece afrofunk unit from Reykjavík, Iceland. They have played together since 2007. The band has released 4 albums: ‘Legoland,’ ‘Fnykur,’ ‘Helvítis Fokking Funk,’ and ‘4 Hliðar.’ They have collaborated with and featured international artists such as Jimi Tenor, Nils Landgren and Tony Allen.
