Úlfur Eldjárn

Úlfur Eldjárn is a composer, electronic musician and member of the renowned Apparat Organ Quartet.
In 2010 Úlfur released his first full length solo album, ‘Field Recordings: Music from the Ether’ a critically acclaimed, yet well hidden treasure of other worldly experimental, electro-mechanic compositions.
Úlfur has two releases coming out this year: ‘Ash’ an orchestral soundtrack from a documentary feature of the same name and “String Quartet no. ∞” an interactive, modular composition for a string quartet that can be assembled in endless variations.
Úlfur will be performing with a group of musicians, premiering new material from his upcoming ‘Aristokrasía Project,’ a work in progress seeking inspiration in late romantic classical music and the glorious days of early synthesizer music from the likes of Jean-Michel Jarré, Giorgio Moroder and YMO.
This is Úlfur’s first performance as a solo artist at Iceland Airwaves.
