From Iceland — The Wicked Strangers

The Wicked Strangers

The Wicked Strangers are a band born on a cold winter night in 2011 in the unassuming town of Selfoss, Iceland. They were three young friends wanting to take a shot at Iceland’s national music competition known as Músíktilraunir and decided it was time to go big or go home.
One month later the band took third Place, including two awards for Best Singer and Best Drummer. Their rhythmic style harkens back to the foundations of late ’70s era rock with the calculated insanity of Rush and their modern prog-core develops into something so pure and so raw it goes howling into the night.
Since then, the band has enthralled the music scene with their unmistakable, passionate and raw energy on the stage in Iceland and overseas, incorporating new inspirations and elements that rip souls from their proper chests.
