This Saturday was the first and maybe last time the Euro Science Fun was held in Iceland. Euro Science Fun is a collective of chemistry and physics groups from all over Europe. Each year they come together in a different country for a fun day to share experiences. This year, Katrín Lilja Sigurðardóttir — part of the Icelandic group Sprengjugengið — organized the show at Háskólabíó.
Twenty groups came together from all over Europe, one of them even came all the way from Canada. Each team could show their experiments in the form of big demonstrations or smaller walk-by presentations.
There were people from every age at this event and had fun approach which got the kids involved! The next appearance will be in Bonn, Germany. If you missed the event, no worries, we made a video to show you how the day was:
