Protesters in Iceland festooned the Polish embassy with coat hangers in protest to the country’s tightening abortion laws.
The legislation has been making headlines around the world, and has not gone unnoticed in Iceland, where Poles comprise the largest ethnic minority in the country.
Protesters assembled outside the Polish embassy in Iceland last Saturday to make their voices heard. This included festooning the building and its surroundings with coat hangers, as a reference to the often grisly nature of home-made abortions.
