Math-rockers Agent Fresco have just released their newest single “See Hell.” Check out the video below.
“See Hell” deals with the repercussions of a violent physical assault singer Arnór Dan suffered a few years ago. In a press release, the singer states:
“‘See Hell’ raises questions about the nature of violence, the act of revenge and its consequences. Waking up and going to sleep with intense anger and angst is such a heavy weight on your heart but I wanted to stay close to these raw emotions and feed off them when making the album, so I kept them animated throughout the entire process. In hindsight, I now realise that it got a bit out of hand that in the end, I almost fell victim to my own personal Stockholm syndrome, and this is what we wanted to capture in the music video.”
The video is directed by Freyr Árnason and Gísli Þór Brynjólfsson, and features actor Arnar Dan Kristjánsson, who Arnór Dan says is his perfect emotional doppelgänger, “given that our names are almost identical.”
“See Hell” is the second single off of the band’s upcoming ‘Destrier’ album. It will hit stores on August 7 via Record Records in Iceland.
