On January 8 at 6 pm, approximately 300 Icelanders and tourists gathered at the French Embassy to show support and solidarity with the victims of the attack on Charlie Hebdo. The French flag flew at half-mast, candles lit, and between silence and light chatter, periodic chants, “Charlie. Charlie. Charlie.”
