Icelandic musical, “Revolution In The Elbow of Ragnar Agnarsson Furniture Painter” will open off-Broadway in New York next week, reports RÚV.
The musical, written by Ívar Páll Jónsson, follows the rise and fall of Elbowville (a small community within Ragnar Agnarsson’s body), where a love triangle develops, shaking Elbowville to its core.
Although the cast is headed by a star studded American cast, the musical is directed by Icelander Bergur Þór Ingólfsson with choreography from Lee Proud and music direction by Stefán Örn Gunnlaugsson.
According to the New York Times the musical will open on August 13 though it previewed July 28th, with tickets ranging between $49.50-$69.50.
