Although confidence in Althingi and the Special Prosecutor’s Office has increased in the last year, there has been a marked drop in the president’s popularity, RÚV reports.
In an internet survey conducted between the 12th and 23rd of February, it was shown that confidence in parliament has risen by 9 points to 24%. Confidence in the Special Prosecutor’s Office also rose by about 9 points to 54%. Confidence in President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson however dropped by 12 points to 47% in the last year.
There is still more confidence in the president though, than in banks. Only 14% of respondents reported confidence in the banking industry.
