Northern lights are predicted over the Western and Southern parts of Iceland this Valentines Day, reports mbl.is.

The Met Office predict not only a great deal of activity but also confirm that the cloud cover forecast is favourable.

For the best possible view, travellers hoping to take advantage of the occasion are advised to leave the city to minimise light pollution and take in the show in all its glory.
