Four Russians were spotted in south Iceland, on a helicopter tour, apparently looking for land to buy in the area.
Vísir reports that residents of Reykholt in Biskupstungur were surprised by the sight of a helicopter landing in the area. Four Russians came out of the helicopter, and were reportedly looking for land to buy. They were only in Reykholt for a few minutes before leaving, on their way to Rangárvallasýsla. The day after, they apparently left for Alaska.
The director of Luxury Adventures, who conducted the trip, was contacted by the South Iceland Newspaper about the matter. He would not disclose anything about the trip, except to say that his guests were well-mannered and comfortable to work with.
The Russians spared no expense in their trip around the country, apparently renting cars to check out Gullfoss, Rangá and Reykjavík. Their identities at the time of this writing are unknown.
