Talks between the Icelandic government and Canadian officials have led to a labor agreement between the two countries. As was previously reported, Ásta R. Jóhannesdóttir, Iceland’s Minister of Social Affairs, met
with Nancy Allan, the Minister of Employment and Immigration for
Manitoba, Canada. In the end, a labor agreement was reached whereby Icelanders seeking a temporary work permit in the province of Manitoba could have an easier time finding work. More information on the matter is expected to follow tomorrow.
