Last year more than 2100 people came to Harpa Concert Hall on Valentine’s Day to participate in One Billion Rising, a dance event arranged by UN Women, reports Vísir.
One Billion Rising is a global initiative that calls for people of all genders and ages to gather on Valentines Day and dance to protest violence against women.
This year UN Women Iceland hope to get 3000 participants.
The event begins at Harpa Concert Hall promptly at noon on Valentine’s Day. People are asked to arrive early, admission will be free and DJ Margeir will be in charge of music.
