Horses have their talents, but few can count painting among them. Cue Skuggi, the painting horse.
Skuggi gained some notoriety last year when he made the news for his ability to count. Clearly this horse has upped his game considerably since then as he now paints, reports Vísir.
“I really just wanted to own a painting by him and so I decided to teach him [how to paint].” said Skuggi’s 15 year old owner, Jónína Valgerður Örvar. “I mix the colours and hand him the brushes. He bites down and then paints on the canvas. I have quite a few paintings by Skuggi at home.”
A few of Skuggi’s other notable talents include kicking balls, smiling on command and apparently, knitting.
“He is an awesome character and a total attention seeker. That’s why it’s easy to teach him this stuff.” said Jónína.
