Bono ate a hamburger at Hamborgarabúlla Tómasar on Geirsgata around dinnertime last night, Vísir reports.
The singer of U2 went there with his family, according to an Icelandic father and son who saw him there. “He was a very friendly man. My son has long been a fan of his and this was an unbelievable experience for him,” the father told Vísir. “We chatted and I told him about my son. He went over and talked to him and then they arm-wrestled.”
Bono arrived in Reykjavík via private jet on December 31 to celebrate New Year’s Eve in our fine country. It’s unknown how long he will be here.
“Iceland’s friends” (‘Íslandsvinir’) Damien Rice and Sinéad O’Connor are also reportedly in the country. The latter was seen with another one of “Iceland’s friends,” John Grant, eating at Snaps on Saturday night.
