A group of 17 Albanian asylum seekers have been turned down and will be deported on Tuesday afternoon, by a Frontex airplane gathering Albanian asylum seekers across Europe.
Six children are in the group, which consists of a few families. The youngest child was born in Iceland five months ago and one of the asylum seekers is a woman six months pregnant who’s in poor health due to stress, Mbl.is reports.
The Albanians got a 48 hour notice about their deportation.
They will be picked up by a passenger plane rented by Frontex, the EU agency for external border security. The plane is also picking up Albanian asylum seekers in e.g. Sweden and Italy, taking 160 people in all back to Albania.
