Baltasar Kormákur Film Debuts In New York

Published July 31, 2013

“Two Guns,” a new film by Baltasar Kormákur, premiered in New York Monday night, and has thus far received positive reviews, RÚV reports.
The film, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, and follows a DEA agent and an intelligence officer in the Navy, who muck up an attempt to infiltrate a drug cartel and are forced to go out on the lam. The fun twist is that neither one knew the other was an undercover agent. Action packed hijinks likely ensue.
“It was naturally an incredibly special experience to drive out into the city and see the film posters in the city like films of famous directors,” said Baltasar, who was in New York attending the premiere with his family. “I was not in New York when Contraband premiered so I did not get to see what happened then.”
Film website ‘Variety’ writes of the film “Kormakur shows he knows his way around an action movie better than most, keeping the pace quick, the banter lively and the old-school, mostly CGI-free thrills delivering right on schedule.”
