Expect some gusty weather if you’re traveling around the east fjords this weekend, as the Icelandic Meteorological Office is forecasting stormy, windy weather in the area. Gale force winds of more than 20 meters per second are expected to be blowing through the region until Sunday evening.
They’re issuing a particular warning to tourists who might be towing one of those pop-up campers or anybody with a trailer, as both can become flying death machines once a strong breeze kicks up. So keep an eye on the weather and drive safe.
