A wheel came loose from a city bus driving down Miklabraut around 9:00 this morning, colliding with two cars, RÚV reports.
Reynir Jónsson, director of Stræto, which operates all buses in the greater Reykjavík area, could not estimate the degree of damage that was incurred, but confirmed that no personal injuries were reported.
Bus wheels have become loose in the past, however instances are very rare. The bus in question was repaired on the spot on Miklabraut without disturbing morning traffic.
