Stræto, the company responsible for all bus service in Reykjavík and surrounding area, has announced on its website that all bus service is temporarily cancelled on account of the not-so-nice weather the area is experiencing today.
As of the time of reporting, Stræto is estimating that service will resume by 15:30 this afternoon, but advises all passengers to monitor their website or their app for further updates and information.
This temporary cancellation also applies to the transport services provided for the disabled in Reykjavík.
Update: Some bus service resumed at 15:30, and the majority of routes are expected to be operational again by 16:30. Stræto is reporting that routes 26, 23, and 31 will be further delayed. Stræto reminds passengers to expect some delays as service ramps back up and the buses navigate the difficult driving conditions.
