As Iceland rapidly regains a sense of normality after the COVID-19 outbreak, organisers have announced that Reykjavík’s Innipúkin festival will go ahead this summer.
The 19th Innipúkin festival will be held between July 31st and August 2nd, over the bank holiday weekend. As in previous years, the festival will be held on Ingólfsstræti in downtown Reykajvik. Part of the street will be closed during the festival and events will also take place in Gamla bíó and Röntgen.
The first acts in the festival’s line-up have been released, and it’s shaping up to be a star-studded event this year. Highlights include:

- GDRN
- gugusar
- Hipsumhaps
- krassasig
- Mammút
- Reykjavíkurdætur
- Skoffín
Ticket sales begin tomorrow, June 25th on the Union App and will also be available on tix.is next week. A weekend pass for entry to events held in Gamla bíó and Röntgen will set you back 8,990 ISK, alternatively single evening passes cost 4,990 ISK. Ticket numbers are restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so book early to avoid disappointment.
There will also be a host of free outdoor events held throughout the weekend – punters can expect pop-up performances and food, record and clothing stalls.
