From Iceland — Spot The Reykjavík Tourists On Google Maps!

Spot The Reykjavík Tourists On Google Maps!

Published October 11, 2013

The photos taken by two Google Camera cars this summer are now accessible on Google Maps and its Street-View service.

As reported, the Google Camera cars spent 8 weeks driving around Iceland to map the whole country with photos.

People can therefore now see up-to-date images of places in Iceland and take a virtual tour around Reykjavík, Akureyri or most other towns and villages in Iceland.

If you were visiting Iceland in July or August, it might be worth checking whether you were caught on camera by looking up on Google Maps the places you went to; you could even relive your trip by repeating your tour virtually!

Or, for those who regularly roam the streets of Reykjavík, it’s very likely you can be spotted in some of the images of Reykjavík.

Thankfully, none of the Grapevine staff were caught stuffing their faces by the hot dog stand or leaving or entering the office, and yet we made sure always to look impeccable in case the Google cars drove by!
