From Iceland — Making The Grapevine Cover Mural

Making The Grapevine Cover Mural

Published August 2, 2013

Issue 11 of the Grapevine features an article about street art in
Reykjavík, so in the spirit of the issue we asked Icelandic artist Sara
Riel to create a mural for the cover. Everything you see on the front
page was painted on a wall near Eidsgrandi which you can visit and
witness in person! The design is the cover art for múm’s latest single,
“Toothwheels”, which is also the song that accompanies this video.
Making the cover and video was a team effort involving staff, spirited
interns, and artists of many trades. And hey, we think Sara did an
excellent job! Hope you enjoy seeing a bit of the process.
