Sigur Rós are among the musical acts performing at Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday celebration, slated May 8. In honour of the natural historian’s centenary, Royal Albert Hall will play host to the festivities.
Sigur Rós is claimed to perform “Hoppipolla”, which was used for the first two seasons of the BBC’s Planet Earth series. Numerous other musical acts are expected to perform, including the BBC Concert Orchestra, which will play scores featured in Attenborough’s shows, and the English pop band Bastille.
