Today is a textbook example of gluggaveður, the Icelandic word for when the sun shining through your window makes it seem like it’s way warmer outside than it ends up actually being. But nevermind that, because all of these events are inside, where we all can pretend it’s a windless February afternoon!

From 17:00 to 19:00, Deepu R. Iyengar’s exhibition Á milli opens at Á milli space, which runs until February 28. At Garg bookstore, at 18:00, Our Rags Magazine travels to Reykjavík to present their second edition, “where the pages not only show clothing, but actually are clothing!”

Tonight’s Bíó Paradís party screening is Pulp Fiction, which starts at 21:00. Afterwards, DJ Oliver Devaney takes over the decks at Bíó Paradís’ Regnboginn cocktail bar.

Tomorrow, the exhibition Leiðir from artist Guðrún Kristjánsdóttir opens at Kjarvalsstaðir at 15:00, while concurrently the finissage of Katrín Inga‘s Fóton tilfinninga í línulegu tómu rúmi = tómarúm is marked with an artist talk at SIND Gallery.

In the evening, musician Einakróna celebrates the release of their debut album Rembihnútar at Mengi at 20:00. The project has grown from a solo “garageband-Soundcloud” project into a five-piece band, and musician HáRún will open for them. Later, Juno Paul performs at Kaffibarinn at 21:30, followed by Ása Kolla b2b Mellí DJing us into the early hours of Sunday morning.

Moving into the double digits, the consistently well-booked concert series SAMPL starts tonight at 20:00. An upbeat array of electronic, pop, and indie music can be expected from tonight’s three performers: Álfgrímur goes for a dancy, expressive pop, Knackered was this year’s Best Live Act at the Grapevine Music Awards for her energetic electronic beats, lúpína deftly roams genres to showcase her emotional and immersive sound. They are all sure to turn Iðnó into a club to lose oneself and dance. ISH

Opening: Gauthier Hubert and Guðný Rósa Ingimarsdóttir — tvírit(the danger zone of sharing)

February 21 — 17:00 — Kling & Bang — Free entry

Having just been voted Best Artist-Run Space by our sister magazine Best of Reykjavík, Kling & Bang launches its new season with an exciting opening: tvírit (the danger zone of sharing) by Brussels-based artists Gauthier Hubert and Guðný Rósa Ingimarsdóttir. The installation of the exhibition is interesting on its own, carried out in complete silence, without a single word spoken. The exhibition is accompanied by the book SQUAT – Diary of an Exhibition.
