On April 6, the annual battle of the bands competition Músíktilraunir showcased its finalists at Harpa. Following four nights of preliminary rounds, totalling 42 artists, only 10 made it to the final night last Sunday.

The band also received an acknowledgement for writing lyrics in Icelandic. Artists j. bear & the cubs and Big Band Eyþórs came in second and third, respectively.
Winners of the competition are awarded studio hours, gift cards to music stores, and performances at Icelandic and European showcase festivals, among other things.
Músíktilraunir has been an annual staple in Icelandic music life since 1982, producing internationally acclaimed artists such as Of Monsters and Men, Kaleo, Vök, and more.
