
Three people died in car accidents in four days, RÚV reports, after a man in his 70s passed away in Berufjörður, East Iceland, on March 9.
The man was found dead at the scene. Two helicopters were dispatched to transport three people to receive medical care at he National Hospital in Reykjavík.
Another death was reported on March 9 by the South Iceland Police. A driver died when two cars collided on Hrunavegur near Flúðir.
On Thursday, March 6, the West Iceland Police reported that a car and a bus collided, leading to the death of a one-year-old child. About 20 people were on board the bus. Three people were in the car, including the child. The other passengers were not critically injured, reports RÚV.
