From Iceland — Airwaves To Begin Selling Day Passes

Airwaves To Begin Selling Day Passes

With the Iceland Airwaves festival fast approaching, the event organisers have decided to do an experiment, and make a very limited number of day passes available. While we at the Grapevine plan on enjoying the full, four-day-and-night experience that is Iceland Airwaves, it is completely understandable that some people simply do not have the time to experience everything. That’s what makes this such a great idea.

A ticket to Airwaves is 19,900 ISK. The price of a day pass is only 12.900 ISK. Sales begin tomorrow at 10:00. At 9:00, there will be a presale for their mailing list. Sign up before that time and, you will get an email with a secret link that allows you to buy a day pass 1 hour before everybody else, which you can brag about to your friends at work. However, our contacts at Airwaves want to emphasise that these day passes are extremely limited in number, so maybe the presale sign up route is a good idea after all.

If you want to get a bunch for yourself and some of your closest friends, you’re allowed to purchase up to 4 per transaction. It is also possible to purchase an Airwaves Plus upgrade to a day pass. This costs 7,000 ISK, and you can buy it at the same time as the day pass.

The day pass gives full access to all the shows on that day, but like all passes for Airwaves, entry is subject to individual capacity. If you want to see your favourite band, come down early! The day passes will give you 10% IA Recommends fun and goodies on that day.

If you have been on the fence about Iceland Airwaves, now is the time to come join the fun.
