A new campaign video by artist Ragnar Kjartansson for the Left-Greens is a post-modern masterpiece. It is also banned from Facebook. UPDATE: It’s also been taken down by YouTube. We are working on getting a copy of the original to host on our own site.

The video, which you can see below, is quite possibly the best campaign video made this season. It was heavily shared on social media shortly after its release, and proved a hit with Icelandic voters of every stripe. However, due to the use of nudity, it has been repeatedly shot down by Facebook.

“We at the Left-Greens understand the importance of art and culture in our country,” Ragnar says in the video. “A diverse and vibrant cultural life is valuable to us all, and is a sign of a blossoming society.”

This is not the first time Iceland has run afoul of Facebook’s allergy to female nipples, as evidenced last year during the Free The Nipple campaign.

Parliamentary elections in Iceland will be held this Saturday.
