Business Insider puts Iceland on the list of countries that do not want any more tourists.

Stundin reports that Iceland is amongst the top destinations that tourists want to visit now, partly because of low-cost airlines such as WOW Air and Norwegian Air.

12 dream destinations that don’t actually want you to visit” presents Iceland along with some other places such as Santorini, Venice, Machu Picchu and more.

The Icelandic Tourism Board also states that Iceland has to limit visitors and adjust the infrastructure in order to handle them all.

Visitors coming to Iceland have almost tripled since 2000, and every year there is an 8.2% increase in tourists coming to the country. This has been an issue for quite some time, and related parties are still trying to work out a viable solution for everyone involved.
