The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority recently rescued 50 cats from a single household, and animal adoption centre Dýrahjálp picked up 30 of them. A great many of these cats have since been adopted, but many more are still recuperating and are in need of a new home.

Here are some photos from the resulting cat show from this rescue effort, where these fine creatures vied for the chance to be adopted. If you think there might be place in your home for one or more, feel free to check out the cats at Dýrahjálp and have a look.
