Renovations are now complete on the popular spa, and they will open again for business tomorrow.

MBL reports that the expansion and redesign of the Blue Lagoon, which has been ongoing over the past two weeks, is now complete. Seawater was brought in to refill the lagoon, but it still retains its telltale blue colour.

Dagný Hrönn Pét­urs­dótt­ir, the managing director of the Blue Lagoon, said that the project, while technically complicated, has exceeded expectations. The weather was on their side during renovations, and the gates will open anew tomorrow.

As reported, these renovation plans included the construction of a luxury hotel with 60 rooms, a meeting and conference room, and an à la carte restaurant.
