Sad news for Björk fans came out today. The singer has cancelled a series of live dates, including the Pitchfork Festival in Paris, La Route Du Rock in France and Iceland Airwaves.

The reason given for the cancellation was a scheduling conflict, in a brief statement from the singer’s team:

“We’re really sorry that due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control, Björk is not going to be able to play the remaining summer and autumn tour as planned. Björk had been really been looking forward to these concerts, so it is with regret that we announce the cancellation and we hope you understand.”

No other details of the nature of the scheduling conflict were available. However, Iceland Airwaves announced that ticketholders for Björk’s separate show on November 4 at Harpa will be automatically refunded as soon as possible, directing those with enquiries to contact

Ticket holders for the separate show on November 4th at Harpa will be automatically refunded as soon as possible, for all further info on that show please contact

The cancellations aren’t without precedent: several Björk shows were also cancelled in 2008, 2011 and 2012, due to medical problems and staging issues.

In better Björk news, the Vulnicura remix project is continuing apace, with three new remixes surfacing recently (streaming below), and a pair of vinyls put up for pre-order.
