The Federation of Icelandic Scouts will be marching in this year’s Pride Parade on Saturday, reports Vísir.

“Scouts are known for marching but we’d like to show our happy and colourful side, maybe dance a little,” said scout Inga Auðbjörg Kristjánsdóttir. “Media hasn’t helped us show that this is an open and accepting group, and the scouts in the US can be a little backwards. For example grown gay men in aren’t allowed to join the scouts in America. But we want to be a part of the [pride parade] and participate properly.”

The scouts will be wearing their uniforms during pride but with rainbow coloured scarves.
